Scott Alman
Managing Director
Scott is the Managing Director of Consilium and has been a leader in the Australasian financial services sector for more than 30 years. As founder of Consilium, Scott has led the business to exceptional growth, staying true to its founding principles to champion professional financial advice and those who deliver it.
As one of the first generation of certified financial planners, Scott has been a pioneer within the profession, particularly in the areas of fee for service and financial literacy. He has received peer recognition through published articles, speaking engagements and collected multiple awards.
Scott was the founder and senior partner of leading Australian firm Alman Partners, and still serves as executive chairman.
Scott has enjoyed long term associations with leading financial economists such as Professors Eugene Fama (Booth School of Business, University of Chicago, 2013 Nobel Laureate) and Kenneth French (Tuck School of Finance, Dartmouth College).
Scott is a founding member of the Global Association of Independent Advisors, a Fellow of the Financial Planning Association of Australia and belongs to the Institute of Directors of New Zealand.
He holds the Certified Financial Planner® certification and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation and has a Diploma of Financial Planning from RMIT University.
